I am Carine, an abstract artist from Belgium, creating under the name Demaca. My journey with art began in childhood and has remained my greatest passion. For nearly three decades, my daughter and I lived on the Greek island of Zakynthos, where the vibrant light and sea deeply shaped my palette—especially the turquoise that now appears almost instinctively in my work. My paintings are an exploration of textures, tones, and emotions, offering a glimpse into both the serenity and intensity of human experience. Today, back in my homeland, I devote myself fully to painting—continuing a creative path that connects my past, my inspirations, and my vision for the future.
